Biography

Fiona Brown was a former Reform UK councillor who served from 2005 to 2013. As a retired teacher, her political focus was on education and children's services. She was a passionate advocate for Ambridge's youth, and she believed that a strong educational system was the foundation for a prosperous community. Brown was keenly aware of the challenges facing local schools, including budget constraints and the need for modern infrastructure. She was a strong voice for ensuring that the council's policies supported schools and provided adequate resources for children's services. Her work laid the groundwork for many of the current discussions about how to integrate these vital programs into the new unitary authority without losing their local character.
